Emergencies

Here are some German phrases and exclamations for use in emergencies and other difficult situations. Hopefully you won't need to use them!

Note that in a genuine emergency, you can contact the emergency services in Germany and Switzerland by calling 112; the direct number for medical emergencies in Austria is 144, whilst 112 will connect you to the police.
